NTCIP Object Reference - Preempt Times+ (MM->3->4)

NTCIP 1202 defines objects for preemption in section 2.7 PREEMPT PARAMETERS.  This menu provides Naztec MIB extensions that extend the NTCIP specification (note the "+" extension to this menu name, Times+).

Inhibit in Delay

Extend Dwell

The time, in seconds, entered in this field extends the preempt call by that amount. This feature is useful, for example, in extending a calls provided by optical preemption systems when an optical sensor is installed only at the leading edge of a large intersection. In these cases, the sensor stops receiving the signal from the emergency vehicle before it clears the intersection. The extend time provides the additional time emergency vehicles need to clear the intersection.

Return Max

Naztec MIB - This value sets the max time for the exit phases after the preempt DWELL period.  The  Return Max is only applied for one service of the return phases.

Exit - PedClr
Exit - Yel
Exit - Red

The entries in this column provide clearance times when the controller exits the preempt dwell state. The entries are made in seconds and tenths of seconds; they range from 0-255 and 0-25.5 respectively. The three clearance times provided are Pedestrian Clearance, Yellow Clearance, and Red Clearance.
