NTCIP 1202 defines objects for preemption in section 2.7 PREEMPT PARAMETERS. All NTCIP references are provided below for the data contained in this table.
2.7.2.4 PREEMPT DELAY PARAMETER - The Preempt Delay Parameter determines the amount of time (0-600 sec) that passes prior to a preempt call being acted upon. If a non-locking call is removed during the delay period, the request for service is dropped and the preempt sequence does not occur. |
2.7.2.5 PREEMPT DURATION PARAMETER - The Minimum Duration parameter determines the shortest period (0-65535 sec) that a preempt call is active. The duration time starts at the end of the delay period, and prevents an exit from the dwell state until the set amount of time has elapsed. |
2.7.2.11 PREEMPT MAXIMUM PRESENCE PARAMETER - The Maximum Presence Parameter defines the maximum amount of time (0-65535 sec) that an active preempt input is considered valid. When a preempt call exceeds this limit, the controller stops recognizing it as a call and returns to normal operation. Once a call has become invalid, it will remain so until the input becomes inactive. The Maximum Presence timeout is reset whenever the input is inactive. A setting of 0 disables this feature. |
2.7.2.6 PREEMPT MINIMUM GREEN PARAMETER - A preempt call will terminate an active phase after the lesser of Preempt Minimum Green time (0-255 sec) or the phase minimum green is satisfied. Setting the Preempt Minimum Green time to zero will cause the controller to leave the current phase(s) immediately when a preempt call is received if pedestrians are not being served. Setting Preempt Minimum Green time to 255 guarantees the min green in the phase timings. |
2.7.2.7
PREEMPT MINIMUM WALK PARAMETER - A preempt
call will terminate an active walk indication when the lesser of Preempt Minimum Walk time (0-255 sec)
or the phase walk time is satisfied. |
2.7.2.8
PREEMPT ENTER PEDESTRIAN CLEAR PARAMETER -
A preempt will terminate a ped clearance
indication after the lesser of Preempt Pedestrian Clear time (0-255 sec)
or the phase pedestrian clear time. |
2.7.2.9 PREEMPT TRACK GREEN PARAMETER - The Track Green Parameter determines the green timing (0-255 sec) for the track clearance movement. The track clearance phases are listed in the Track Phase parameters. |
2.7.2.10 PREEMPT MINIMUM DWELL PARAMETER - The Preempt Minimum Dwell Parameter determines the minimum amount of time (1-255 sec) for the dwell movement. The dwell phases are listed in the Dwell Phase parameters. The dwell state will not terminate prior to the expiration of the Minimum Dwell time and the Minimum Duration time, nor will it terminate if the preempt call is still present. |
