Lamp Monitoring and the Temperature Alert system require auxiliary equipment installed in the cabinet.

Naztec, Inc. manufactures a Lamp Monitoring system that senses the current load to designated lamp circuits to detect when one indication is burned out on the same circuit shared with another indication that is still burning.  Some agencies have used this equipment in the past to detect failed red indications that are not detected by a NEMA conflict monitor which monitors voltage to the lamps rather than current.  The need for Lamp Monitoring has diminished because LED indications have superceded the use of this equipment.

Naztec, Inc. also manufactures a Temperature Alert System which consists of a temperature probe to measure pavement temperatures that is monitored by auxiliary  equipment in the cabinet.  This controller scans up to two temperature channels via a communications port and can relay this information to Streetwise ATMS.
